Jotun Safeguard Universal ES Plum – Reliable Tie Coat for Marine Coating Systems

Ensure strong adhesion between your primer and antifouling system with Jotun Safeguard Universal ES Plum, a two-component vinyl epoxy tie coat for marine and protective applications.

Specially developed for use between epoxy primers and antifouling coatings, Safeguard Universal ES provides an important intermediate layer within the boat’s protective coating system. It can also be used as a tie coat or holding primer for a wide range of compatible topcoats.

Suitable for both atmospheric and immersed environments, Safeguard Universal ES can be applied over approved primers on aluminium, carbon steel, galvanised steel and stainless steel substrates.

  75L Component A Plum + 0.15L Component B

Both components are required and must be mixed before application. At 23°C, the mixed product has an induction time of approximately 10 minutes and a pot life of approximately 2 hours.
