LIROS Amarre Latina Polyamide Rope – Strong & Flexible Mooring Rope

The LIROS Amarre Latina Polyamide Rope is a high-strength marine rope suitable for mooring and anchoring applications. Made from 100% high-strength polyamide, it combines excellent breaking strength with high elasticity to help absorb the loads created by wind, waves and vessel movement.

Its traditional 3-strand, heat-set construction provides excellent abrasion resistance and makes the rope easy to splice. With a working stretch of more than 20%, the LIROS Amarre Latina can absorb shock loads during mooring, helping reduce sudden strain on the rope and attachment points.

The rope is also UV-stabilised for use in marine environments and conforms to DIN EN ISO 1140.

Available from Emcar Marine in 16mm and 22mm diameters, the LIROS Amarre Latina Polyamide Rope is sold per metre, allowing you to select the length required for your boat or specific application.

Which Size Should You Choose: 16mm or 22mm?

The appropriate rope diameter depends on factors including vessel size and weight, expected loads, mooring conditions and the specifications of your onboard equipment.

The 16mm LIROS Amarre Latina has a breaking strength of 5,600 daN, while the larger 22mm version provides a breaking strength of 9,800 daN.

Always consider the manufacturer’s recommendations and the requirements of your cleats, fairleads and other mooring equipment when selecting the appropriate rope diameter. Breaking strength alone should not be used to determine the correct size.
